In my Pace

Hopping Girl with Balloons

Reaching out as far as I could go
To a place only my mind can reach…

I stopped, yes, I rested for a bit
But on and on I will go…

Never giving up.
Always starting once again.

There might be a lot of frustrations
From halted plans and miscalculations.

But it is all better than regret
And giving up with a fret.

The world may laugh at my pace.
And scorn when I try to find my place.

But this battle I will always pursue.
I may rest but still I will continue.

Until the thing of my imagination
Is something near its realization.

Dancing Along the Colors of Time

Dancing into the Colors of Time

Dancing along the colors of time,
Experiencing and witnessing the great sublime…
We have the capacity to be the heroes of our time,
Where in greatness will be our only crime.

Dance gracefully with the life that we received,
Regardless of whatever disposition we might currently be.
Whatever we seek that’s what we shall find,
So let it be beautiful, colorful and grand.

Slow Yet Strong as a Tree

IMAGE0002

Behind the tree I ponder on things,
About life, love, anything and everything.
Things didn’t go as fast as I wanted,
Stuffs didn’t finish as soon as I planned.
So I thought, “Is this really worth it?”
Failure, lots of failure, “Am I fit to be it?”
And then I felt the hard wood on my back.
As if the tree is trying to mock.
In defense I thought “Ha, don’t you laugh!
Your leaves fall through the blow of the wind,
Just like how I fall on problems I try to solve.
And you, fast? Don’t make me laugh!
It takes years and years for you to be fully grown,
Just like how slow it takes to reach my goal.
But strong…oh yes, we go stronger in every fall.”
It’s then I realize that it’s alright –
Not to be as fast as others,
Not to be perfect in just one trial,
To fail and learn one stumble at a time.
If it takes years to complete a fruit bearing tree,
It wouldn’t hurt if it takes years for me to get my dream.
I may be slow, but I’ll be as strong as a tree.

The Road Goes Ever On

The Road Goes Ever On

The Road Goes Ever On

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

 J.R.R. Tolkien

Everything happens for a reason. And yeah, that phrase is too cliche. And even though it is overused, it is still difficult for most of us to connect everything that is happening to us whether it is good or bad. There are endless “why’s” floating at the back of our mind that goes unanswered for long periods of time.  But eventually, things fall into its proper place. With all the confusions of whatever form that we encounter in our lives, all we need is patience, perseverance and hope that things will go for the best as long as we’re giving what we can to make everything great. 🙂

Have a great day!

Go Placidly Amid Noise and Haste

Go Placidly

There’s just too much noise, chatter and confusion…
Sometimes our thoughts are louder than our surroundings.
Our eyes filter the world according to what our mind perceives.
Whether it’s fear or courage, sadness or joy, it’s for us to decide.
The key to our own mind and heart is in our hands.

Take charge. Drive your life. Find peace.

Bounce back

When you hit against the wall,
Don’t let it break you or destroy you.

Bounce back.

When you slip on a deep dark pit,
Don’t let it summon you or eat you alive.

Bounce back.

When you take a wrong turn and lost your way,
Don’t go insane or make it blow your mind away.

Bounce back.

When you fall into the vast unknown ocean  of terror and fear,
Don’t let it drown you, swim back up.

Bounce back.

Trip and fall, stand up tall.
Challenges are always there,
And so is success.

As long as you bounce back after you fall.

I’ll Be Back

Just like a bird that flies so high,
My wings will always find home…I’ll be back.

Just like the water that endlessly flows,
It goes and goes to the ocean once again…  I’ll be back.

Just like the sun that always set,
It always greet the morning with a smile… I’ll be back.

Just like the seasons that always change,
In an endless pattern over and over again… I’ll be back.

Seasons come and seasons go, the tides rise high and the tides dive low,
But remember that I will always be, back to you and me.

Flower Lady

Teach me how to see what my critical eyes fail to see,
The wonders and beauty all around me.
Teach me how to see the path that is hidden from me,
Its secrets and joys that is meant for me.
Let me hold the torch  of wisdom with the purest light,
And a beauty of  soul that can last through the night.
I might not last long, I might not be remembered.
But do know that I was once there and that I cared.

Why are flowers made?

Why are flowers made, when they all just wilt and die?

Theirs is a beauty that’s temporary.
But they can be a part of a good memory.

Theirs is a size so small,
But a smile so big is what they can give.

If even just for a while I can make this world a beautiful place,
Then I wouldn’t mind being a flower in my own simple way.

This is the flower from the bouquet given to me earlier when I attended my best cousin’s wedding as her maid of honor. I’m wishing that couple to live the rest of their lives together filled with happiness and love! ♥ 🙂

There is a Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and everything on Earth has its special season.
There is a time to be born and a time to die.
There is a time to plant and a time to pull up plants.
There is a time to kill and a time to heal.
There is a time to destroy and a time to build.
There is a time to cry and a time to laugh.
There is a time to be sad and a time to dance.
There is a time to throw away stones and a time to gather them.
There is a time to hug and a time not to hug.
There is a time to look for something and a time to stop looking for it.
There is a time to keep things and a time to throw things away.
There is a time to tear apart and a time to sew together.
There is a time to be silent and a time to speak.
There is a time to love and a time to hate.
There is a time for war and a time for peace.
