Clair de Lune

I made a logo for my brother’s violin ensemble in the school where he teaches – Clair de Lune. It’s his birthday today and this is his special request from me. I exceeded 10 more minutes just to make some extra touch-ups.  I love the moon so I truly enjoyed drawing this.

Happy birthday to my bro Edmond. 🙂

Serenade me gently.
Sing to me dearly.
Let the world know of your wonderful sound.
Let the angels sing with the music you have found.

I focused on technique today and aimed for finer pencil strokes and color. This took me an hour to complete since I was being careful on each lines I draw. The hardest part there is the strings of the violin. I didn’t use any lifting technique. I just avoided not to color on the white part of the strings and then just added some gray for the string’s shade. The body of the violin is composed of a lot of colors. I used some shades of oranges and browns to get almost how the violin actually looks like.

I hope you like it. Have a great day! 😀
